Thanks to an invitation

And thanks to an invitation from BBVA I attended a talk in Madrid on March 20, in which data scientists and experts from the financial institution were trying to explain how a recommendation system works in the age of artificial intelligence. Guests of postín and speakers like Francisco Vieira, president of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid, the person in charge of Innovation of restaurant Celler Can Roca, Heloïse Vilaseca, the art director and winner of a Goya by Blancanieves, Alain Bainée, and the designer of interaction Javier Cañada, explained how in their day-to-day decisions are made based on the data, conscious and unconscious, that they have in their hand in each of their facets and tasks.

And among them Iskra Velitchkova, the host of the event, author of the divulgation study 'RecSys' that was presented, and specialist in Visual Thinking of BBVA Data & Analytics, ventured to point out that the human mind makes two very different songs remember to a single vital moment, or that a place evokes someone very specific who has never been there. And this is a huge challenge for the machines.
